The Statesman Marketing Campaign

This piece is associated to a campaign that I created for a fictional business, which would be located in Chico, Ca, and is based off a business idea that my husband and I have been considering. The Statesman will be a neighborhood bar that will serve specialty craft beers by breweries located only in California in a modern, comfortable drinking environment. The industry that this bar would be associated to is hospitality and would serve California-based beers and ciders. Focused on serving an amazing variety of California-based brewery options in a new, updated atmosphere and will set us apart from the rest of the local bars in the area. With an inviting atmosphere, the local community will be welcome to come and enjoy a beer and hopefully the bar will develop a loyal following.


The marketing campaign centers on the grand opening of this bar and includes an in-depth analysis of the current problem, vision, target audience, competitor review, and audience persona. This information is vital in understanding the needs of the community and creating a business that is successful and properly marketed to the target audience to create a loyal and lasting customer base. I also created a few marketing pieces to increase awareness of the business and the upcoming event to the public including: flyers, a website, social media platforms, and email flyers. By focusing on the atmosphere and the California-based beers that will be featured at the bar, the emphasis is to tailor the visuals and posts to the target audiences interest.


I’ve included this in my portfolio because I wanted to showcase by ability to complete a marketing campaign from fruition, analysis, and launch.
