Comanche Creek Farms began out of a desire for the best tasting, wholesome, "picked at its peak" produce for their own use. With experimentation, for the best varieties, the garden expanded to the point of supplying finer restaurant's in the local area. With the knowledge that soil is not simply a means for anchoring plant roots and holding artificial fertilizers to provide plant nutrients, they focus on working with nature, recycling natural materials, and growing cover crops to maintain soil fertility. By using only natural methods of pest control, their organic cultivation principals closely follow those found in the natural world. Once a month they host a family or individual "pick" event, where they highlight seasonal fruits and vegetables.
